My Essential Korea Travel Resources :
There are plenty of travel companies out there, but these are my favorite websites and resources for planning an unforgettable trip to South Korea. This post may contain affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. For flights, I recommend using Hopper to compare the cheapest travel dates to South Korea. Car rentals, although not common in Korea, are best through Discover Cars - just make sure to have a copy of your international driver's permit with you! I always use AGODA's easy-to-use platform for hotels in Asia. To keep cell phone service, I use Airalo’s easy to purchase eSIM’s (no installation required) - make sure to have NordVPN ready too while you surf random wifi connections. For fun things to do, Klook specializes on tours in Asia, otherwise Viator also does the trick. Just in case, Safetywing is the insurance I always use when visiting a new country. Lastly, my essential packing list when traveling. Planning Your Visit to Cafe Treeanon
According to Cafe Treeanon, you need to make a reservation in order to ensure you can have their Afternoon Tea. If you simply show up, they might not have everything they need to prepare it for you. If this is the case, you'll likely need to order from their al-a-carte menu. This is still a great option if you're looking for cute drinks and pastries, you just wont get the entire "Afternoon Tea" experience and 3 tier serving platter.
In order to make a reservation, you'll need to either message them on Instagram @cafe_treeanon or contact them through their NAVER listing. Parking in this area is very tight, especially since the cafe is hidden away in a little neighborhood, so I recommend taking the Suinbundang Line to Gangnam-gu Office Station, Exit 4 and then walking the approximately 1/2 mile from there to the cafe. Their "Afternoon Tea" Set is large enough for 2 people, so I recommend sharing.

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with Cafe Treeanon's Afternoon Tea experience! I'll be honest, even though I've had Afternoon Tea a number of times in London, I'm not too picky about the tea or pastries as long as they taste decent, and the ambience of the café is welcoming and peaceful. Beginning with tea, we had an incredible amount of options. From tea type, to what we wanted in it like sugar or milk, even boba pearls were an option. I went with a more traditional Earl Grey, and thought it went well with the pastries and snacks that were brought out. They gave us an entire teapot of tea, so there was plenty for the two of us.
The cafe itself was cute, both inside and out. The interior was decorated with various antiques and detailed tea pots, while the exterior felt exactly how you'd imagine a garden tea party. Our pastries came out on a three tier serving platter. We had a variety of macaroons, pastries, jams, breads, pudding, and even fruit to snack on with our tea. Even though it's not a very "Korean" experience, it was a really fun way to spend the afternoon and it's definitely a spot I would go back to.
